Plain language for a plainly silly product. Tibetan Terrier Lightning Insurance is a novelty. It is not insurance and not a financial product.

What you are buying

For $3 a year you receive cover against lightning in the form described on the site: if you survive a lightning strike, Sara writes you one handwritten Get Well Soon card and posts it to you. That card is the entire settlement. No cash, no payout, no upgrade path.

Billing

Premiums are billed annually as a subscription through Stripe. Stripe collects payment on our behalf. We do not store card numbers on this site.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from the manage subscription page, which opens Stripe's billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not entitle you to a refund for time already paid unless required by law.

Claims

To claim, reply to your policy email with proof of the strike and confirmation that you survived it. We aim to post your card within ten working days of an approved claim. We may decline fanciful or incomplete claims at our discretion. This is a hobby project, not a regulated insurer.
